You can give it a stucco effect with mortar mix. That is what we did to our foundation and a small block wall. Then painted.
Has it held up okay? What brand of mortar mix? What wall prep? Please and thanks I'd appreciate this additional info...are you in a climate that freezes in winter? I'm in southern Ontario, zone 5 if you think in gardening terms.
