boiling water
I use Spectracide Weed and Feed in the hose end sprayer on my lawn to kill Creeping Charlie, crabgrass, and weeds. No mixing, no mess. Tried so many products and this one worked. Kills the weeds and feeds the lawn. A thicker lawn leaves no room for weeds.
Try a weed and feed like Preene.
Before you use a weed and feed, you want to have your soil tested at your local cooperative extension. This way you're not giving your lawn things it doesn't need. (A soil test will tell you if your soil is high/low in phosphorus, etc.) Once you know, then you can pick the weed n feed with the right "numbers" 12-0-5, etc. The reason for this is a stressed out lawn that isn't properly fed will be much more susceptible to weeds and pests. Good luck!
Definitely don't kill Brenda ;)
Killing Brenda probably won’t solve anything.
Try this recipe, I haven't used it on crabgrass myself, but it works on our other weeds!
