Once they’ve set the stain @ the cleaners it might never come out. There are really good products to use @ the store. Especially red wine. If you know what the stain is always tell the cleaners beforehand. Rule of thumb is white wine takes out red wine. Easy fix as soon as it happens or salt.

Once the cleaner has used cleaning fluid to remove a stain..... its probably removed some of the pant dye leaving a mark. For future, club soda is used to remove red wine stains before it sets.

There is a product called "Wine Away" that is excellent removing red wine stains - best if still new. You can get it at wineries and maybe on line. Salt is another way to get rid of red wine and other stains on carpet. Blot up the excess, don't rub, and then pour lots of salt onto the spill. Let it sit and absorb the liquid. After dry, vacuum it up. The salt can stay on there overnight without causing a problem. Salt was the original carpet cleaner before the expensive products were invented.
