Not all artificial turf is the same. It has come a long way from the cheap synthetic scratchy stuff sold by the yard in hardware stores. Read the warranty carefully. As with most projects, prep is key to a successful end result along with longevity of the product. And good quality turf isn't cheap, it can easily run into the thousands really quickly. Shop around and do your homework. Then decide if it is a project you want to tackle yourself or have the pros install for you.
