What can I clean floor with?

Wish I knew the Answer I have tried so many things to clean my laminate floor and everything leaves streaks. Help me too.

Hell. We have had hardwood floors in our 7 different homes and have used a lot of HW floor products over the years. We stopped using the steam mop when it started blistering off the finish at the seams on a new traditional oil based sealed oak hw floor installation.

The past two years we have been using the BONA mop and solution and we’re very pleased with the results.

Make sure all dust and dirt is up before wax or it will just glue it to the floor. Try hot mop first w little winger and mop in one direction.

Do not use any Holland House products. They will ruin your floor..

first vacuum floor well. Then use Bona or a little white vinegar very little and water in a spray bottle. Your floors will shine.

One part vinegar to three parts water and a little squirt if dishwashing liquid keeps mine shiny and clean, using a microfiber mop pad and a spray bottle or spray attachment on mop works great!

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tsp blue Dawn

2 gallons hot water

wring mop to barely damp

it will remove residue and return to original sheen

I love Holloway House Quick Shine Floor Finish because it shines my hardwood so well. But after awhile, there was a buildup that had trapped some dirt / dust / pet hair and would scuff easily. I also tried many products but couldn’t find anything that worked. Found out that the same brand had a Deep Cleaner that was made to remove their polish. Once I used that, the wood looked brand new. I thought there were scratches but found they must have only been on the surface.

Maybe that will cut through what you have also. I’d give it a try.

Bona products are the best. I use them for hardwood floors and also when I had laminate floors.

1. Vacuum the floor thoroughly to remove dirt and dust. This is especially important for hardwood floors, because any lingering debris will scratch the surface of the floor as you mop.
2. Mix a solution of ½ cup of distilled white vinegar per gallon of warm water.
3. Mop floors. ...
