I second this suggestion. Heat, cold, rain all will make the paint peel and look far worse than plain old concrete. Stain just fades over time. Easier to refresh in the long term.
There are many acid stains on the market that require very little prep and are actually very do it yourself friendly. Lowes, Menards, and Home Depot have stains in stock and can offer suggestions on color. Acid stains, once sealed, offer very long term solutions to plain old concrete. what's nice is that every project will look unique and give your sidewalk, driveway, garage floor, or concrete porch it's own personality.
