Good question- my Costco dining set developed a chalky oxidation. We called the manufacturer- they requested photos. We emailed photos to the manufacturer and ( because its Costco? ) the 3 year old set was completed replaced - to our amazement—minus the cushions.

I would suggest calling the manufacturer— in case -its a warranty issue.

Wet and forget outdoor will slowly remove. Or you can scrub down or pressure wash with a mild solution then apply wet and forget outdoor to prevent in the future.

We buy rustoleum spray paint for oxidizing black furniture on our patio. It keeps it well until the following year. We do it every year or two. You can find paint made for rust at Walmart, but only if it is basically cosmetic rust, not deep damaging rust.

You can also use nail polish remover and WD40.
