You can use just vinegar, straight, just make sure you don't get it near grass or plants you want to keep alive. Boiling water works, same thing goes for grass and plants, so you don't kill them. Pull them once the are dead if you can.
Hubby sprayed our paver sidewalk last week. In a pump sprayer he put 1 gallon on vinegar, 1 cup of salt and 1 Tablespoon of Dawn. Applied in the morning and let the sun help bake/dry off the weeds. By the next day some were dead and the day after that all weeds were dead. Works best if applied on a sunny morning.
