straight vinegar or straight CLR & green scrubber spomge; long term build up scrape wetted surface(CLR or Vinegar) with single edge razor blade ; then do glass--straight rubbing /isopropyl alcohol and clean wash cloth( no fabric softener on it and no paper towels both cause streaking and smearing)--just pour alcohol on cloth and wipe glass, mirrors, auto glass;do inside one direction-horizontal and other side -vertically this way you can tell easier which is not clean

If your windows are etched, there really is not way to get them clean. I used oven cleaner on mine and it got all the grit off.

  • Cerama Bryte cleaner is what I used to get rid of the hard water stains on my glass shower doors.

I totally agree with Lynn's suggestions. I've used all three and they work well.

First, take an equal amount of vinegar and water and mix them together in a spray bottle. White distilled vinegar will work best for this. Then, spray the solution on your windows and let it sit for around two to three minutes. Lastly, use a gentle cloth to wipe away the cleaning solution and avoid any streaks.
