How can I get the dog hair out of the runners of sliding glass doors?

How can I get the dog hair out of the runners of the sliding glass door? Is there a way to pick it out? The door is getting harder to push open and closed and I am old!!! HELP!!!

    I have had that problem before....I used canned air...and then duc taped a bunch of straws in the vacuum cleaner hose and surprise! It worked. The straws got in all the grooves.

    k- the runners I see are always clean as I try to keep them cleaned everyday. I have 4 hairy dogs and they are shedding right now! It seems the hair must be caught at the bottom of the inside of the door where the wheels are....

    A old toothbrush will slide back and forth in there to get it loose and then use a vacuum.

    not on mine - these are heavy thermal sliding window doors- there has to be a solution somewhere11!!

  • I vacuum it out. There has been stubborn stray hairs (I have many pets), and sometimes I sit on the floor with my rubber tipped tweezers to pull it all out. To have it under control in the future, vacuum the tracks every time you vacuum the rest of the house.
