How can I make an inexpensive barrier around our pool?

Our dog keeps falling in our pool so we need a barrier around our pool. It doesn't have to be completely closed, just something to deter her from walking too close to the edge.

Perhaps some kind of low fencing or put some fencing up with spaces for pots of plants or flowers between the fencing. When we lived in Florida, we had a dog that liked the water so much that he would check to make sure we were in the house (he would literally look around for us), throw in his tennis ball and dive in to get it. It was hilarious to watch him do this repeatedly, he never did check to see if we were watching him from in the house!

Since chemo is temporary and fencing is costly would you consider using willow branches as a "living fence"? You insert the fronds into the earth at your required height and you weave them as tightly or loosely as your little one needs as she heals. For this year you could use a vine on the fronds to create more of a visual barrier for your wee one to avoid also. Cheers to the magic of healing for your wee one.
