A lime green blade grass has invaded my lawn. What is it, and how do I get rid of it?

Hi John,

I know grass types very throughout the country. I live in Michigan and use a spot treatment from roundup. It may be helpful to go to a local box store, like Home Depot or Lowes and ask an associate what they would recommend.

  Thanks. I am in Central Florida, and have been told it is Nutsedge. Difficult to eliminate because it grows from tubers and spreads underground. At least I have and idea what I am dealing with, and can plan a course of action.

  You might want to contact your county extension agent. He or she will be able to give information regarding what works in your area. I’m in coastal Georgia, and I know nutsedge is a stubborn nuisance! Roundup can be your friend, but it will kill any grass it touches. I have used plastic around the weed to protect grass, then painted the Rou
  ndup onto he weed with a brush. Make sure you carefully research before using this! Best of luck.
