If you spray anything with a lot of vinegar in it and it gets onto plants you want to keep, it will damage or kill those plants or bushes. If it gets into the soil, it will damage or kill the roots. You can paint the leaves of the what you want to kill, but it may take a few applications. Epsom salts are actually good for plants if it is used on the soil or in the soil when planting in smaller amounts. It is better to use the vinegar on the hard surfaces or for spot killing the weed by itself. I have found that hand pulling or digging the weeds out and putting down Preen Weed preventer is the easiest way to go, it keeps weed seeds from germinating when they land in the garden. It doesn't help with things like creeping charlie and grasses that spread by roots, or tree seeds (they aren't weeds until they sprout where you don't want them).

It will most likely kill any plants you spray it on.

Table salt, vinegar and a squirt of dishwashing liquid is the recipe I use. Will kill plants coming up between brick patios etc. Will kill your good plants as well - so use carefully.
