use sewing machine to ziz zag the hole shut or sew on a patch, you can also put some fabric glue under the patch. Go to your local fabric store and buy new bachelor buttons you will need a hammer and magazine to install your new button. or you can sew on a button that matches in size.
Is the button broken. Just replace.

If the pop rivet has pulled out you can add a demim patch and sew on a normal button.
Is it a tack button (first picture) , or a rivet snap (second picture), that you want to replace?
Both style of fasteners can be repurchased at fabric stores, and on-line.
