Any ideas for sliding glass closet doors, other than replace them

You could cover them with an adhesive film or paint them.

Love them, plus they are exspensive, what's to update
I agree with the other comment about using clear contact paper. We have a French door with glass panels that we used it on to add some privacy, and it works great. It shouldn't harm your mirror if you ever decide to remove it in the future.
