You probably have a waxy dirt build up. I removed mine with scrubbing Bubbles spray. Work a section at a time and use a product made for your type of floor.

1 cup baking soda
1 cup white cleaning vinegar
1 Tbsp blue Dawn
2 gallons hot water
This should remove any build up, mop liberally with solution.
