I am thinking of starting hydroponics fodder project for my domestic animals, any ideas on what type of fertilizer to use? Can normal cow manure be used in such a project? Thanks for any ideas:)

Cow manures need to be treated for the pathogen‘s that are in the cows intestines before they are used in gardening fertilizer.

I’m thinking that the commercial treatment plants use heat.

How one would put manure in their kitchen oven, is something I don’t want to contemplate, yuck. Sorry.

It is possible to use regular fertilizer for hydroponics, but in reality, you shouldn't. Regular fertilizers lack many compounds that purpose-built hydroponic nutrients contain, and they can cause problems at different stages of growth. This is why I always buy from specialized shops, for a while, I only buy from hydroponic nutrients adelaide. Hydroponics wants care so you need to use the best products, to be satisfied with the results. And I totally agree with the comments above, because they are telling some facts that you can easily avoid.
