How do I replace a jeans button?

    Lisa....You may need to buy another button and sew it on....picture might help us!

    They are normally in 2 pieces (at waistband). You will have to remove the existing, I have to use pliers or get my husband to do it. Then you tap the new one in place.

    This is the one button I have not been able to replace like the one that is there. I would go buy a normal button and sew it on.

    If you are going to replace with same type snap on button, you will have to reinforce the area first. I do it the easy way, use denim iron on patch. Cut two the size needed and put one on each side. Then you can attach the new button. If you are going with a regular button, you can do the same process or you can darn up were the old button came out and then sew on new one. Both way have worked well for me.

    Is it a tack button (first picture) , or a rivet snap (second picture), that you want to replace?

    Both style of fasteners can be repurchased at fabric stores, and on-line.
