How to get rid of clover?

I have a few patches and would like to nip-it-in-the-bud before it takes over. Any ideas for making a spray to rid the clover?

Clover thrives in underfertilized grass because it has the advantage - it can make its own fertilizer and grass really can't. So, if you fertilize your grass with a good organic fertilizer in the spring and fall then you will give the grass the advantage.

Clover has no problem being mowed nice and short, but your grasses don't love it. When you cut your lawn under 3 inches tall, the clover will appreciate it and the grass will get a little stressed. So adjust your blade height on the lawn mower to a higher or taller setting. That will give the advantage to your lawn.

  • How funny, I planted a ton of it in my yard! Drought tolerant, takes a beating from kids and pets, soft and fluffy under foot, rarely needs mowing.
