Combination of sand and rocks
Check out what goes into cactus soil, once you price all of it out, it may be cheaper to purchase the soil unless you really need an awful lot of the soil.
Agree, lots of little rocks and sand.
Hi Nita, Cacti prefer rocky, nutrient-rich soil that drains well. You can add nutrients such as peat moss, coconut fibre, pumice, perlite or vermiculite to gravel and common garden soil to increase soil aeration and improve drainage.
I would mix a little peat, a little vermiculite, and a little compost with some pea gravel and sand.
Thankyou all for your reply s I gonna try it.
