    Hi Julie,

To do this take each grate outside and put them in individual freezer grade zip close bags and add 1/2 cup ammonia. Seal the bag and let it sit overnight. It is the fumes that do the work and not the actual liquid. The baggies need to be freezer grade because the grates can poke holes in thinner plastic bags.

Next day, put on plastic or vinyl gloves and take the grates out and rinse well, you are done.

I do mine 2 at a time so I have at least half a stove to cook with.

    Best to you.

Hi Julie, remove the grates and spray with oven cleaner outside. Place the grates in large garbage bags and let them sit in the sun for about 15 minutes. Hose them off and repeat if necessary for stubborn stains

Hot soap and water in the sink.
