Can anyone give me an idea for a light fixture on this fan...they don't make the dimensions it needs so I have to make one....help
I'm having a hard time figuring out how the globe attaches to the fan. Regardless though have you check out any of your local junk shops? Mine has an entire room devoted to glass light fixtures.
How about a wire basket? I was wondering if you could do something like this...

How does the globe attach?
If you know the brand, you may be able to replace what was there. I can't see how it is attached either.
You can really throw the fan out of balance if light kit isn't made for fixture.
It attaches on the inner part of the light area
Does it mount a threaded pipe or some kind of snap on bracket? A photo of the mounting would help. Have you tried looking at ceiling lights with a similar mount and dimensions? Have you checked Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards? You can also check a lighting store.
How about using a drum lamp shade. Or a basket. I think the easiest would be a metal basket.
