It’s located on the side of the house, outside basement wall. Thank you
Does it connect in any way to roof or something on roof? Size of pipe looks kind of like the ground used for lightning rod. But grounds are supposed to be driven into ground up to the top. Why does shadow show another piece of pipe attached?
At some point in the past there may have been a gas or kerosene tank sitting in that location. The caps probably seal off the ends that would have connected to the tank.
Pic didn’t post correctly oops
If you click on pic it should show whole thing
If it's not connected to anything in the ground, I would think it's some type of home made plant holder like a shepherd's hook.
Lol didn’t think about that one :-) interesting:-)
It's a stretch but did the home ever have natural gas? At one time meters were outside but I think it's too tall for that. The meters were usually closer to the ground.
That’s what I thought at first but it’s propane. Tank and lines are on the other side of house
How about a hose rack?
Being so close to the spigot that Would make sense :-). Thank you
I agree. Looks like a hose rack. Have you tried digging around it or removing one of the top caps? Looks weird to be any kind of plumbing for anything.
I was to afraid to dig around without having a better idea of what it might be or what to look for. Guess I better get to digging :-)
Homemade hose rack?
I’m beginning to think it is
It is an outside gas line extention for outdoor use for things such as outdoor permanent grill...
She's got propane.
The spigot is right by it, so I wonder if they made that to hold the hose.
Made to hold a garden hose. Ingenious!
You all gave me the confidence to do a little digging around it. I feel better that it’s probably a hose holder so I will carefully dig around later today :-) can’t thank you all enough for your help :-)
