What is the appropriate way to keep water from leaking from under double wooden front door?
Check your threshold. You may need to replace it with a rubber gasket to stop the water.
Kathy is right. The threshold should keep the water out.
Hi Sheila: Yes, I agree with Kathy. If your threshold has a rubber gasket, you can replace just that. If not, you can get a door sweep. They come in different lengths and styles and don't cost all that much. You can pick them up at most home improvement stores. Stop at the millworks department, or ask just about any employee, and tell them what you are looking for, what type of door you have and what it's made of, and they will give you the help you need in selecting the proper sweep. Good luck
