    Hi Patricia,

Could you have them sit on a shelf, book case, or an appliance? Maybe attach them to something solid that could be clipped to a shelf and not drilled into to hold it stable...like a C clamp, which would not be the most attractive, but practical.

Another thought would be the Command strips that would be durable enough to support the camera.

They could be doubled up for reinforcement.

As an aside, we have a company monitored security camera in our house, one thing I dislike about it is you have to be clothed when passing through the room for obvious reasons.

    Hi Patricia,

If the instructions call for using hooks, try Command Hooks. They are easy to install and come off when you're ready. I know you asked for other methods, I just wanted to give you a hook option. :) Wishing you the best.

The best home security system is one that includes all of the necessary technology, which usually includes at least one security camera. However, mounting that camera may necessitate drilling holes in the wall, much to the disgust of the homeowner. Furthermore, if a renter uses a DIY system and wishes to add cameras, they may not be ready (or permitted) to drill holes in the wall to place those cameras. There are a few options for mounting a security camera without drilling holes. The following are three of the most prevalent methods:

    1. Using a detachable adhesive strip or suction cup that can be pulled off the wall without damaging it at a later date
    2. Using a little hook that leaves only a small hole and does not necessitate drilling
    3. Using something like a shelf or table to mount the camera so it doesn't have to be attached to the wall.

With those three choices in mind, a homeowner or renter can install a security camera in the desired spot without causing harm to the wall.
