Will adding soil and seeds to my rotting landscape timbers make them last another year?

All depends how rotten they are! Moisture, organics in the soil decomposes wood.
Tammie....It does not seem to me that if you just want it to last one more year that it would matter about the rotting timbers. I think you can add soil and seeds and it will probably last one final year. Good luck!
I don't think so, we have the same issues and have to replace them once they get bad - you could try filling them with soil but that only invites bugs into the dirt
