How do I stop chipmunks from eating my bird seed?

I have bird feed hanger no on a plant hanger pole, but chipmunks climb it and eat the food. Any suggestions?

You could try putting red pepper flakes in with the seed...birds don’t mind it, critters get it on their paws n are not a fan...or maybe put dale sided sticky tape on the pole so they can’t climb up.
They are relentless. It may work to put a metal collar around your pole, you could make one with a pie pan.

I have the same problem. Mine hangs from a tree branch. We used an old LP on the top as suggested elsewhere as a deterrent. It stopped them for a few days until they figured out how to jump from another branch or my light post. They are really smart so we’ve decided to let them be!
