How to paint laminate cabinet with drawers?

I would like to paint black Ikea Malm drawer chest to lighter color. Maybe white or light gray. I would like to know what primer and what paint I can use. Photo of the drawer attached. Thank you, Renata
Chalk paint is the best to go with or glidden gel flow. With both of these you don't need primer or sanding at all. I have this exact dresser. I painted with spray paint though. You might need a few cans of spray paint. It would be a piece of cake though.

I painted this half-fake nightstand. I used steel wool to scuff the finish, cleaned with denatured alcohol, primed with Kilz 2, and painted with RustOleum Metallic Accents Paint. I've also painted laminate pieces with Painter's Touch, same process, just no pictures.
