You could use a resin to seal the birdbath.
Waterproof acrylic sealants are best for outdoor projects or ones that are exposed to water.
You could try marine varnish.
For the bowl all you need is a grout sealer. Do not use anything else as it can be harmful to the birds. Chemicals in the sealers will leach into the water. Birds are small and more sensitive than humans.
