Usually similar to tile. Morter with adhesive, (Not sure what's it is actually called, my mason calls it slop) and several towels and a tile cutter. There are lots of videos on you tube for tutorials on how to install veneer stone that will also tell you everything you need. You can rent the big tools if necessary . Have fun, good luck, you can do it.
