I don't want to get rid of my queen size head board but need a trundle bed for my new home, is there any way to use the head board only and attach it to a trundle/daybed frame?

As long as the frames line up you can do this. You may need to drill into the frame for the headboard to sit correctly.

The frame of the bed won't be designed for a headboard to attach along the length, so you'll need to improvise. One solution is to place the bed along the wall, with the headboard between the bed and wall; this will keep it in place in most instances, but for safety and stability, attach it to the wall. If your bed has a wooden bed frame, attach the headboard to the frame by drilling a hole through the frame and headboard at each end, then hold the bed and frame together with bolts.
