How do I install strip molding?

Something went wrong with a question that I was trying to send. I was attaching pictures and the question disappeared. Anyway. I’m trying to install molding strip on some kitchen cabinets. The strips are 9/16 thick. I’ve come to the point where there is a corner that is not 45 degrees. What do I do to determine the angles so that I can cut the strip to fit that corner property. The strips will be against the existing molding and the ceiling. I’ve attached some pics so you can see what I’m talking about. Hope someone can help. Thank you!

I would take a piece of cardboard and measure out the angle. Then cut it to fit. If you are planning on painting the molding you can fill with wood filler and then paint.

I take it that you want to get rid of the unsightly caulk line. I think it would add interest and not look too "tacked on" if you put up small diameter dowels. Stain them to match the trim. Sort them into close color matches, some may require additional stain to blend in better. Finish with a polyurethane sealer. Install them using lap joints do not butt them end to end, that never looks good. You may be able to glue them into place using clear caulk with a few brads to hold them while the clear caulk cures.

Dee has the right idea. Use a piece of cardboard and cut out a template to fit the angles. You can carefully trim the cardboard till you get the proper fit. Then transfer the angles to the strips. No walls or ceilings are perfect so use Minwax wood putty to fill any gaps. Comes in all wood tones.
