How to start a no-prime needed lawnmower?

I have a new no primer self-propelled gas lawnmower? Is there a trick to pulling the cord to get it started? Thank you and signed, a very frustrated Gail.

You can take the air filter off and spray starter fluid on the carbutator to make it easier to start. Pull until it starts

  Thank you Kelli. I've heard of this and I have a concern. If it starts and I cut part of the lawn, stop the mower to empty the bag, what if I can't start mower again to finish. I don't suppose I could use the fluid on a hot machine. How would it work then? I hope this isn't a dumb question. Thank you again. Gail

  Once motor is hot it should restart easy. DO NOT SPRAY INTO HOT ENGINE, can start a fire.
