If you are talking about the grates and caps. Go to the dollar store and get oven and grill cleaner. Buy Gallon zip lock bags put grates and caps in bag and spray them down well. Seal the bag. I usually do this outside and let sit overnight. In the morning just wash off. No scrubbing necessary. If they are really bad let sit for another day. Everything comes off. Be sure to zip lock your bags.
I spray a microfiber cloth with oven cleaner and then use it on the stove top. Do not spray the stove top directly. I found out the hard way that it will short out the spark that turns on your gas.
Rinse well and wipe clean. I have an almond color stove top and it cleans it up nicely. I hate a dirty stove.
Thanks for the info I will give it a try, but I’m actually trying to figure out how to clean boiled on food from a pot that overflowed & burnt on to the stove u Dear the pot in the indentation...any ideas would b greatly appreciated 🤗 Annette
I just put the grates in the kitchen sink with some vinegar. If you need scrubbing action, try Bar Keepers Friend. It won't scratch. I wipe the stove down after every single use. May be I am OCD or really neat?
Thank U for getting back to me. I will try Ur suggestion but am also looking for help with some food that overflowed from the pot onto of the burners & burnt onto the indentation under the pot but on the stove. Any ideas? Would appreciate Ur help!
So welcome Annette! Try Bar Keeper Friend. It won't scratch the finish. Or sprinkle with baking soda and dribble some white vinegar over it and let it bubble and sit for 15 minutes or so. Then wipe up.
The trick to cleaning the stove is to keep it wet. I also use Bar Keepers Friend because it doesn't scratch. I keep is wet with white vinegar and a paper towel for about 30 minutes.
The spray on oven cleaner works really well, buy it at the dollar store.
