We had an old record cabinet with a turn table that lifted up when you raised the top of the cabinet but it didn't work. My husband removed the turntable and replaced it with a sunken tray. We then put shelves in the bottom of the cabinet for glasses and bottles. We were lucky that the turn table shelf remained horizontal and was low enough that we could keep items in/on the sunken tray when the lid was closed. Refinished the cabinet and it was good to go. Used it for many years.
Can you send a picture of the cabinet so we might get an idea of the piece you are working with? Thanks
If you’ve a specific cabinet in mind, please send us a picture.
Bars usually have water resistant finishes, like a polyurethane.
