Definitely call a pro in asap. They multiply fast. Home remedies you buy will be a waste of money; as when you realize they did not work, you'll end up hiring a pro anyway.
Clay is right. Hire the professionals NOW!
Bed bugs breed fast, there are diy products that work with mixed results.
When you hire the pro, they have the chemicals, technical training, and staff to kill off the bed bugs. Additionally they are licensed to do this job effectively, add in a warranty. They will keep at it until the job is done. They know where to look and where to treat.
This comes from experience, we stayed at an ocean resort and on day 4, I was getting bit, thought it was sand fleas. I showed the manager my bites and they determined it was bed bugs by the pattern of bites ( usually in a cluster of 3, that was breakfast, lunch, & dinner for them) and a search of our room. They were in the bedding and couch, fortunately hubby did not get bit. For treatment after identifying them they took our suitcase, all clothing and treated it. Plus they quarantined off our room, and the surrounding rooms and above and below. Pretty serious.
Call exterminater asap and get your pet dipped.
I recently heard on a show that cinnamon will drive them away. Check out bed-bug-rid, an all natural bed bug killer spray.
