Hi Sandra, Nail polish remover, or rubbing alcohol should do the trick! If your concerned about color removal, try baby oil or mineral oil.

I use goo gone for everything. Works great
Use Googon lightly on the cotton or any any towel and remove them. They come off instantly.

Goo Gone or WD40.
I use vegetable oil if there's a sticky residue.
Goo gone is great, but if the tag is on the sole, wash it with dawn after the goo gone so it isn't slippery.
