"awning" is attached to side of storage shed .(Actual roof size is 12 ft long & 8 ft wide) Former owner made this out of 2x4's spaced 24" apart for top, with corrigated metal for roof & 4x4s for posts going into ground it appears to be attached to shed with nails not screws. we are a senior couple trying to figure out how to take this down without having to go on ladders or end up in the hospital :) any ideas for safely taking it down? thanks

Honestly, there isn't a way to take it down safely without getting up on ladders unless you have someone do it for you. Do you have any children or grandchildren that could do it for you? Maybe some young people from your church or neighborhood that would like to earn a little money?

I agree with Shore. No way to take it down without ladders and some climbing. It would have to be remove piece by piece from the top down. Try to get some help.

Hi Lorrie, sorry you are having problems removing your awning. This sounds like a big job and you may want to have it taken down alone without help. You would need to get on a ladder and I don't want you to get hurt. You may want to hire this job done. Here are the instructions on removing an awning. Good luck and be safe.
