How do I make outdoor shade?

I need a shade that will help cut out u-v rays. I can make lots of things, just looking for ideas.

You can get canopies ready made, and at many department stores. Most have 4 supports ie legs, and the middle will have a vent at the top. Some come with options to add side panels for privacy. Mine is currently stuffed in its rolling case.
