    Google it, there are a lot of alternatives.

    Plant things they do not like and then they will not come to your yard again. Put a rubber snake in the yard or drape one from a tree.

    IIt may not be rabbits. Mine was turltes. . If they are eating the bottoms of you tomatoes, it's turtles. We reached a truce. I picked the damaged produced and threw it out into the heavy cover where they lived. That way, they could reach the goodies easier under the protective cover and I got to keep the rest. I figured the veggies were no good to me anyway, so they might as well have the rest. No more trouble.
