    Ammonia inside or bleach

  • Fill a glass bowl 3/4 with water and add a few drops of vinegar. Microwave on high. This will steam up the inside and any stuck on food bits will wipe off easily.

Lisa...Just put a little water with vinegar in a microwavable bowl or cup and turn it on for about 3 minutes. Open it up and carefully remove ...you should be able to wipe the microwave with paper towels or a rag and the steam should have loosened anything inside. I suggest a plastic cover over everything placed inside to warm or cook. They can be purchased at Dollar General, etc. for a couple of dollars. I always use it but hubby .... not so often!

I take a deep glass or ceramic bowl and put a mixture of dish soap and water. I put it in the microwave on high for about 2-3 minutes where it is boiling hot. I wear long rubber gloves so I can handle the heat. The moisture that has boiled will soften all the dried gross food on the sides. Take a sponge and just wipe the insides down. You will be amazed. For any hard to remove areas, I take the sponge and dip it into the soapy water in the bowl and then scrub those areas with the boiling water. this has been the BEST, FASTEST and EASIEST way to clean a microwave. The rubber gloves will prevent you from burning your hands but it will be very hot. Be careful. You might have to wait a few minutes so it cools off a little.
