I buy little ant traps and place them near the ant locations. You can also get a spray for large areas.

Outside, I use sweetened cornbread and muffin mix on the mounds if you find them. I have put it on their paths, but it doesn't work quite as well. Pepper the mounds real well and when they take all of it into the mound, re apply it until there is no more activity when you disturb the mound. They love the sweet, take it into the mound for everyone to eat and die because they can't digest the cornmeal. It is safe for everything except insects like ants, so you can use it when pets and kids are around.

Hi Susie. I'm Cindy. You can put some white vinegar into a spritz bottle and spritz on ants when you see them indoors or outdoors. Repeat in three or four days.

  • Hi Susie - Those little buggers are relentless, aren't they?!? This is the most effective method and all-natural spray DIY that we use with ants. It's best indoors, but will also work outside with more frequent applications. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
