My husband found these ledge shelves which are pretty narrow. They are just right for the vintage tins I've collected. Since my nickname is Ginger, all of these are ginger tins. The oldest is from the 1800s. I get lots of compliments from visitors on this display.

You can find tins like this at yard sales if you are lucky, but definitely on eBay. Also check on Etsy which features some vintage items.

These are more modern tins but their graphics and varied shapes are still interesting to display.

  • Measure to put the screws in the walls the right distance for the hangers on the back of the ledge shelves.
  • These are called keyhole brackets.
  • Putting plastic anchors in the wall for the screws is recommended.

This video shows how to level the shelf and do all the parts with putting the screws in the wall.
