What is this?
Found this near my front porch. Don't know if it's fungus mushrooms or eggs. Please assist. Husband pressed on them they were mushy. Dug up put in trash. Please help. That's a lot of something.

Sorry, I have never seen this before, so I don't have a clue, but now curious myself to know what it is. Hopefully someone will have the magic answer. Lots of smart people on this site.
Type of mushroom (fungus). Usually form rotting wood.

It's a fungus similar to puff balls. It's harmless.
I have this every year on the side of my house near the forest. I have had to replace a bush 3 times and finally found that dogwood is resistant to the fungus. I just spray the fungus with weed killer once as soon as it crops up and it's usually gone for the rest of the season.
I've never seen anything like that either... so weird. I would be really creeped out by it.
Looks like a type of bolete/mushroom like the puffball. You may want to consider taking the mulch away from that area, that is more than likely what the mushroom is growing on.
