How to plant flowers over an arbor?
We live in a townhome,&the floor is all cement. I also have an Arbor my husband & I were married under.we have stairs that go up 2our patio,&at the top of the stairs is the Arbor.My question is,since my patio is all cement, what can I plant on either side of the Arbor that will grow fast,be in full sun, have beautiful smelling & colored flowers. On the patio it looks as if all around the edges it was filled in with cement. I know there was dirt there,but how can that cement be taken out w/not much noise. We live in a place that has an H.O.A. PLEASE HELP ME W/THE ARBOR? I'D BE SO TRULY APPRECIATE ANY HELP U CAN GIVE ME. VERY SINCERELY, Starr Holloway 🌹🌻

Hi Starr. If your HOA permits, add a nice planter on either side of the arbor. Passion flower and Mandevilla vines will do what you ask. Jasmine and honeysuckle are also good options but will require pruning. Are you trying to bust out the concrete on the sly? Be careful, HOA's and neighbors can get extra vicious if you don't follow the rules for which you signed on. 😊
You could always do pots on each side of the arbor with annual vines, like Morning Glory Vine. They grow quickly and look great!
Get attractive containers and place on each side of the arbor. Then plant your desired vines. Moonflowers and sweet potato vine also grow quickly. Guarantee the HOA will not allow concrete removal. Besides there is no quiet way to remove concrete. Construction is dirty, messy and noisy, no way around that. Go the pot route, easy simple and will look beautiful in no time flat.
