Simple DIY Wooden Crate Shelf For Our Guest Bathroom

I wanted a small shelf for extra storage in our guest bathroom and I just wasn't finding

an option that seemed to work. I needed something that wasn't very deep and it seemed like

everything I liked was just not the size I wanted.

When I came across wooden crates I stacked them in the store and took a photo and

decided to think about it.

I decided to try the wood crates and ended up picking them up the next time I went to the store.

I placed them in the space to get a visual, and I really liked it so I got to work and ordered some wood bun feet that I found online.

When those arrived I simply used Gorilla Wood glue to glue the crates together as well as add the bun feet.

When the glue had dried, I went ahead and painted the piece white.

After the paint had dried thoroughly I placed it in the space and loaded it up.

It fit perfectly in this space for what I was wanting, and overall

I am really happy with how it turned out.

I found out by experience that anytime i have used a wood product in my bathroom, within a few months it warps. I think it's the steam from showers, hot baths, etc... so my preference is still metal shelves.

Use a waterproof sealer under your paint to protect the wood.

No question but I wanted to say I love that you do crafts at your table. So do I!!! It’s just the perfect place for me to work and get creative.

Thanks for sharing this video. I plan to make these for my classroom.
