Clean the deck. Sand the deck and clean it again. Stain and seal the deck Repeat in 3-5 years. Enjoy. Don’t worry—be happy. Jewell

I'd rent one of those big sanders from Home Depot. Then power wash. Then refinish. Will look like new.
