There are some 'deterents' that are 'supposed' to work. But in my experience, the only sure solutions are to either cover with netting, sinking it lower into the ground than rabbits can burrow, or build a fence higher than deer can jump.

Hi Tammy. We live near woods and the DuPage River. So we see a lot of wildlife. I tried everything under the sun to keep critters out of my garden. And then I tried shredded Irish Spring soap. And to my surprise, it worked! So now I buy a 12-pack of the soap before I plant my garden. I shred all of the bars at one time and I store it in a 5-gallon bucket with lid in my shed. When I plant my garden, I scatter the soap shreds immediately afterward. This is the 3rd year I have done this and, so far, so good. So this is what I recommend for you. Good luck Tammy.

I tried shredded Irish Spring as well, and it didn't work.

I guess it may depend on where you live.

Plant a boarder of marigolds. Great to look at, and the rabbits and deer can't seem to smell the veggies at all.
