Any suggestions on inexpensive items to use for table legs. Hairpin legs are so expensive. I like the look of metal

Threaded Metal pipes with flanges at top and bottom is a popular look. They are available at home improvement stores. Some stores can also thread the pipe for you.

  • Do you have a Habitat Re Store? Check there as they always have deals. Craig's List, freecycle.org or if you are on Nextdoor.com, hop on and see what they have for free or low cost.

Hi Sandy! Just a thought but if you look for some hairpin legs that are hollow, now steel all the way through, they can be cheaper. I got some on Amazon once and just threw out the cheap top and put the legs on a piece of real wood. You could also do a modern-looking faux metal base by painting it black.

Home Depot sells table legs that aren't too expensive.
