How do I get rid of mold using apple cider vinegar?

  • You don't need to use expensive Apple cider vinegar, plain old white vinegar works just fine, both are 5% acidity. If you want to up your cleaning power, purchase "cleaning" vinegar which is 6% acidity. White vinegar is cheap, $3.49 for 2 gallons at Costco, Sam's Club or any restaurant supply.

    Pour undiluted vinegar into a spray bottle. Spray on the mold and allow it sit for about an hour. Scrub lightly and remove with a damp rag. I keep a spray bottle with 50% vinegar and 50% Dawn in my shower and spray the shower lightly a few times a week.

    You can use white cleaning vinegar. If you have stubborn areas you can soak towels or paper towels and let sit.

    You can spray undiluted white or apple cider vinegar on the mold and let it sit for an hour. Afterwards, wipe the mold. - Make a mixture of one cup of borax with 1 gallon of water and scrub the mold. Wipe clean.
